Frank is currently a master’s student at Technological University Dublin, Ireland studying Electronic and Communication Engineering. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Makerere University which he received in 2018. He also holds a Diploma in the same field and a Certificate in Information Technology from the Uganda Institute of Information and Communication Technology Nakawa. He was also awarded a certificate in Cisco Enterprise Networking from UTL Technologies Ltd Bengaluru India. Frank has other certificates for Mikrotik networking which include MTCNA and MTCWE. He is also an ambassador Africa Code Week (ACW) and Africa Talent Bank (ATB) in Uganda as well serving as a member, school management committee for St. Kizito Mugigi Kyamuliibwa Primary School, Kalungu District.
He is an energetic, responsible, and reliable engineer and educator. He enjoys teaching, mentoring, and supporting engineering students as well as carrying out research on his initiative. He has demonstrated good leadership skills in both work and academic environments, Frank works well, either on his own or with other people in a team environment. He is a highly competent telecommunications and ICT professional with strong technical skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.

Received the Women Achievers Award 2012 for enhancing women’s empowerment through Science & Technology presided over by H.E. Yoweri Museveni, the President of Uganda. In November 2013, 1st recipient of Africa’s first Digital Woman Award at ICT Days in Cameroon. In 2014, selected as Vital Voices Fellow for distinguished emerging and established women leaders who promote women and girls’ progress.

Gorret is a graduate with a degree in Computer Engineering from Makerere University. She is into nurturing and mentoring the young with coding skills. These include but are not limited to serving as a trainer for the Africa Code Week Program an initiative to teach coding skills to secondary and primary school students to build systematic and critical thinking, and volunteered with Women in Technology Uganda (WITU) to provide training on the MIT App Inventor and Scratch applications.

Wayne is a graduate with an honors degree in Computer Engineering from Makerere University, Uganda. He is currently a Graduate Researcher at netLabs!UG a Research Centre of Excellence in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Makerere University. His research interests include Luganda Natural Language Processing, Embedded Systems, Machine Learning, Distributed Information Systems, Data Mining and Database Systems.

Alexander is a graduate with an honors degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Makerere University and also currently pursuing a Masters of science in the same field at Makerere University.
He has a demonstrated history of working in the telecommunications industry specifically in radio network planning and as a graduate researcher in netlabs!UG with skills in research and development (R&D) and data analytics.
His research interests are broadly centered on mobile wireless communications with emphasis on energy efficient communication technologies designed to address the environmental impact of conventional communication systems and networks. He has participated in various service and outreach programs aimed at expanding ICT awareness and services in developing countries like Uganda.
His future research prospects are geared towards enhancing existing approaches and developing novel ones for improving the quality of service of communications systems as an enabler for the country's sustainable growth.

I received the BSc degree in Electrical Engineering (First Class Honors) from Makerere University, Uganda in 2007, the MSc degree in Communication Engineering (Distinction) in 2011 and the PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2016, both from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
Since 2017, I am a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Makerere
University, and a Senior Researcher with netLabs!UG. My research interests include energy efficient dense HetNets, 5G cellular technologies, UAV-based cellular systems, applications of machine learning in wireless networks, and rural broadband connectivity.
